The official TEDxToronto app is your guide to everything happening at the event and after party October 26th 2012. Whether you are onsite at Sony Centre or watching the talks at tedxtoronto.com via live stream, this app is the perfect viewing companion.
Features of the app include the full schedule of the day, speaker and performer profiles and intro videos, and live tweets categorized into streams to allow you to easily follow conversations coming from the official TEDxToronto account, delegates, and speakers.
If you are a delegate attending the event in person at the Sony Centre, you can access the People section of the app with your event registration login. Here you can invite other delegates and speakers to connect before, during, and after the event in order to facilitate the spreading of and building on great ideas.
The app, built with love by TWG and Jet Cooper, is also being made available for use by TED and TEDx organizations around the world.
About TEDx x = independently organized event
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxToronto, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxToronto event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
